Super Hero Detachable Cape Shirts

FINALLY!!!
I have been dreaming up this design in my head for awhile now and was sooooo excited finally able to get it out on fabric. I have done 3 so far and I am loving the way these are coming together. The 'logo' is created out of up-cycled knits and felts and stitched to a soft t-shirt. Then the cape is made from coordinating knits and attached to the shirt with hidden velcro. So it can be taken off if it becomes distracting!
This one was for a precious little friend, Gus.
I love the combo of the gray felt and aqua knit. Turned out so cute!

Deuce had to model Ethan's. Oraange felt w/ lime knit & cape!

Deuce's OF COURSE had to be Batman colors!

I can do any color combo. A green/purple HULK combo is the next one in my head!

Hot Momma Shirt

I started out with a "MOM" shirt I created for an auction at Deuce's school and then it went from there. These just keep getting better! I am always having requests for a special word or saying. Here are a few of my faves! I LOVE these tshirts I have been using. Super soft and vintage rubbed/distressed for a worn in look.

The first one. (Trying to model it myself)
*hmmm....BW damask bedspread. Can't imagine that, right?

'The Laura'- Laura is the one we call 'the brown girl.'
She loves earthy colors like browns, greens. & blues. I created this one for her b-day.
This one is MINE!! The shirt says it all.

More Initials!

A neighbor friend asked for some super cute initial shirts for her kiddos for pictures. I LOVE what I came up with.
She has 2 kiddos- Hayden [age 1] and Hadley [age3]. She wanted a lil h for the lil guy and a big H  for the big sis but also wanted their age as well. I was a stumped at first on how to incorporate both the age AND the initial, but I think what I came up with worked out PERFECT!!

Had to use Linc as a model!!!
Light blue T w/ circle of chocolate, orange, green & blue. Orange letters & numbers!

Hadley's- Pint fitted T w/ lime green frame, multi-color stripey H and hot pink & green rolled flower pin.

 {back}

Had to throw in the matching hair accessory!

Here is another fun T initial I made for Linc!
Baby blue onesie w/ chocolate minky circle and stripey blue green L.

Can't Get Enough....

DAMASK! DAMASK! DAMASK!!!!
Love this stuff. I have it in greens, pinks, aquas, and of course BLACK & WHITE- which still seems to be everyone's fave.
A friend of mine from middle school/high school has one lil precious girl already- Sydney-- and is expecting another--Madison.
She asked for some unique initial shirts using damask.
Here is what I came up with!
Black tshirts w/ BW damask frames, hot pink felt letters, and lime green rolled flowers.
{Plus a no wash bad hair day headband for momma}

Lil Deuce-Style Baby Gift

Being that I am the crafty one, I always end up making gifts for all of our friends having babies. It seems like lately that EVERYONE is having a baby!!!!

Our friends Beau & Stacey are having a little boy, Grayson. Beau is Michael's big bro in his fraternity, so I thought it would only be appropriate to give them a little something with the fraternity logo on it.
I collaborated with another local designer- 2Little Lovelies to come up with this cute onesie!

LIghting was terrible when I snapped this, but its a navy onesie with gold satin fused & stitched greek letters. The 'lil' was hand embroidered by Kathryn Kempson of 2 Little Lovelies.

This is the 'man' gift for Beau. A black onesie with baby Grayson's initial in soft knit camo on a brown minky backing. A soft minky/knit camo burp cloth to go with it.

Stacey's gift was a little 'prettier'. A cute little tie onesie in some awesome spring colors with a matching burp cloth as well. These are always a hit!!

Alpha Gam Rolled Flower Headbands

"How I love my Alpha Gam, So deep deep, so down down, in my heart!"
We had a bridal shower for my sorority big-sis  (sister-mother) Miranda yesterday. She is the picturesque Alpha Gam and everything that we stand for!
We showered her with a Squirrels, Pearls, and Alpha Gam GIrls themed shower! How perfect is that? I decided to put myself in charge of favors and make some super fun rolled flower headbands for everyone. They were a hit!!

Alpha Gamma Delta colors are Red, Buff (light yellow), & Green. Our flowers are Red & Buff roses. Our jewel is the Pearl. How fitting are these?  Love them!!

How cute are we?????

Little Rockstar T!!

No two will ever be alike! That's what it means to be a ROCKSTAR!!! My little Deuceman LOVES his rockstar shirt and so we had to make one for his buddy Liam's birthday too.

I love all the fun detail in this one! I can do it on black, white, gray, or royal blue shirt! How fun would this be to get a matching one for Father's Day?
